The Regional Monitoring on Child Protection Committee Functionality, conducted on April 25, 2024, was a significant event aimed at ensuring the effectiveness of child protection measures in educational institutions. Dr. Andrea Maybel Abrencillo, Education Program Supervisor of FTAD, led the monitoring efforts, supported by key personnel from the Division of General Trias City.

Among the attendees were Ma’am Riza Mae Sanchez, Education Program Supervisor; Ma’am Enchie Ocampo, Division Youth Formation Coordinator; Ma’am Vicky Elises, Education Program Supervisor II for SMME; and Ma’am Glenda Recto, Public Schools District Supervisor for Cluster 6. Their presence and expertise were instrumental in guiding the monitoring process and providing valuable insights into improving child protection initiatives.

Also present were Ma’am Elena S. Rosales, the school coordinator for Child Protection Program (CPP); Sir Erwin A. Asugui, the Teacher-in-Charge; and Dr. Naneth P. Salvador, the School Principal. Their active participation and dedication to ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for students underscored the importance of the monitoring activity.

Through collaborative efforts and a commitment to child welfare, the Regional Monitoring on Child Protection Committee Functionality served as a platform for assessing current practices, identifying areas for improvement, and strengthening the overall protection of children in schools.
