In line with the Governance of Basic Education Act of 2001 (RA 9155), Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. North National High School successfully reconstituted its School Governance Council (SGC) for the school year 2025โ2026 through an election held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the school library.
The event gathered key stakeholders, including the schoolโs Planning Team, Child Protection Policy Focal Person Ms. Nancy Reyes, SSLG President Noelle Sugapong, SPTA officers led by Ms. Danielle Casuyon, SDRRM Coordinator Mr. Ryan Edel Abueg, council heads and subject coordinators Ms. Gigi Lyn V. Aticaldo, Ms. Elena S. Rosales, Ms. Vergie D. Paredes, and Mr. Erwin A. Asugui (TEO President). Also present were the outgoing SGC officers led by Ms. Elsa M. Fauni, Mr. Turks Hussein of Letโs Care Foundation, RFAC representatives, barangay officials, SK Chairman Eunice Guino-o, homeowners association presidents, BCPC, and a Brgy. DRRM representative. The occasion was further honored by the presence of Hon. Jowie S. Carampot, Pasong Camachile II Barangay Captain, and Ms. Mildred Simpelo-Carampot.
The program opened with preliminaries, including the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and an invocation, followed by a roll call. Dr. Naneth P. Salvador, school principal, warmly welcomed the attendees and discussed DepEd Order No. 26, s. 2022, which provides the implementing guidelines on the establishment of School Governance Councils. Dr. Salvador also facilitated the election of SGC officers, while Hon. Carampot led the induction of the newly elected officials.
The newly elected School Governance Council officers who will serve for the next three years are as follows:

Elected Co-Chairperson: Ms. Mildred S. Carampot
Elected Secretary: Ms. Elsa M. Fauni
Following the election and induction, the officers and council members engaged in a vision-sharing session to outline their aspirations for the schoolโs growth and development over the next three years.
The event concluded with the awarding of certificates to the newly elected officers and a heartfelt closing message delivered by Mr. Erwin A. Asugui, Master Teacher and TEO President, emphasizing the councilโs vital role in promoting participatory and collaborative school governance.
