The Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. North National High School (LYFJNNHS) delegation is making waves this morning, November 5, 2025, as the Cluster 9 Sports Warfare officially kicks off. With banners raised and chants echoing across the General Trias Sports Park, the North High Tigers enter the arena with unmatched energy, signaling their intent to lead the charge in this week’s athletic battles.

The opening ceremony is a spectacle of unity and pride, with the Tigers backed by a full force of supporters—from Special Program in the Arts performers to campus journalists, teachers, and the ever-committed SPTA. “We’re not just here to cheer,” says SPTA President Ms. Danielle A. Casuyon. “We’re here to uplift. Our athletes know we’re behind them every step, every sprint, every serve.”

Principal Dr. Naneth P. Salvador stands at the forefront, rallying her school with unwavering enthusiasm. “This is the moment we’ve prepared for,” she says. “Our athletes are not just physically ready – they’re mentally and emotionally equipped to represent North High with honor, discipline, and sportsmanship.”

Sports Coordinators Mr. Erwin A. Asugui and Mr. Ferdinand A. Buenaventura are seen guiding their teams with precision and passion. “We’ve focused on conditioning, strategy, and composure,” shares Mr. Asugui. “The opening ceremony sets the tone, and our athletes are locked in. They know what’s at stake.”

The Cluster Meet, organized by the Sports Coordinators and School Heads of seven component schools, is spearheaded by Public Schools District Supervisor Ms. Arlene M. Hernandez. “This event is a celebration of youth, talent, and teamwork,” she says. “Cluster 9 continues to be a beacon of excellence in sports, and I’m thrilled to see their spirit shine today.”

Student-athletes are already feeling the rush of competition. Volleyball spiker Karl Jomocan shares, “The energy here is electric. I’m pumped to play. We’ve trained hard, and now it’s time to show what we’ve got.” Track runner Christian Soriano adds, “Every cheer from the crowd pushes me forward. I run for my team, my school, and the pride of being a Tiger.”

As the games are set to begin, the Tigers are already showing signs of dominance in warm-ups and early drills. Coaches are reviewing playbooks, athletes are stretching and strategizing, and the crowd is buzzing with anticipation. “We’re not just here to participate,” says Coach Buenaventura. “We’re here to compete – and win.”

With the Cluster Meet running until Friday, November 8, the North High Tigers are poised to make their mark. The opening ceremony may be over, but the real action is just beginning. And if today’s roar is any indication, the Tigers are ready to pounce. ~ Dolor, TNT
