At least 30 Filipino, Science, and Math teachers from Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. North National High School (LYFJNNHS) gathered at the school’s Biology Laboratory today, July 30 for a re-echo session on the ARAL School Readiness and Responsiveness Audit (ASRRA), aimed at reinforcing preparations for the nationwide rollout of the ARAL Program.
The session was led by Math Coordinator Ms. Ginalyn M. Cabudoy, who presented detailed guidelines on the implementation of the ARAL Program. Topics discussed included the selection process for learners, qualifications and training of tutors, teaching schedules, required resources, and the target date for program rollout.
Ms. Cabudoy also emphasized the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act No. 12028, also known as the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program Act, which serves as the legal foundation for the initiative.
A separate session was held at the North High Library for the parallel rollout of the ASRRA initiative, involving 24 teachers from the English and TLE departments. The session was facilitated by Ms. Gigi Lyn V. Aticaldo, Master Teacher I, and Reading Coordinator Ms. Babeth G. Casajeros. Together, they led a series of discussions and activities aligned with the schoolโs Quality Management System (QMS) objectives, ensuring that both departments are actively engaged in the schoolโs ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.
School Principal Dr. Naneth P. Salvador supervised the session and expressed confidence in the successful implementation of the program.
ASRRA is a structured audit tool designed to assess the readiness of schools, Community Learning Centers (CLCs), and Schools Division Offices (SDOs) to implement the ARAL Program. The ARAL Program, a flagship initiative of the Department of Education (DepEd), aims to help learners from Kindergarten to Grade 10 achieve grade-level competencies in reading, mathematics, and science through face-to-face, online, or blended tutorials.
In addition, the program seeks to address learning gaps and support academic recovery efforts in response to the challenges facing the Philippine education system. ~ Dolor, TNT
