Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. North National High School successfully held its 2025 Sports Tryouts for Grades 7 to 10 students, with the full support of the SPTA led by Ms. Danielle Casuyon, SGC led by Ms. Mildred Carampot, and the school principal, Dr. Naneth P. Salvador. This activity aimed to discover and develop the potential of North High students in various sports while promoting teamwork, discipline, and school pride.

The program opened with an energetic Galaw Pilipinas dance led by students from the Special Program in the Arts, serving as a dynamic warm-up for all participants. One of the highlights of the opening program was the launching of the official “North High Jingle,” proudly performed through song and dance by SPA students, marking a new symbol of unity and spirit for the school.

The tryouts proper served as the main highlight of the day, as students headed to their assigned venues for different sports events, including basketball, volleyball, chess, table tennis, swimming, taekwondo, futsal, and more.

All participants were acknowledged and awarded certificates for their support and active participation. Selected student-athletes were also announced and may possibly represent North High in future competitions, depending on their performance and training progress.

The 2025 Sports Tryouts reflected North High’s strong commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for its learners—not only to excel in academics but also to shine in athletics.
